Calling all fashion‑lovers! Shopping and dressing sustainably isn’t only better for the planet but can make a huge difference when supporting independent artists.
However, we know that sometimes buying new clothes is conflicting. There is so much out there and it can be hard to differentiate between the sustainable and green-washed options. And becoming accustomed to big high‑street chains can often narrow your fashion horizons... so we've decided to help!
Say hello to our favourite sustainable fashion destinations in London.
69b Boutique
69b Boutique has been open in East London’s Broadway Market for ten years, and was one of the original sustainable fashion stores in London. They vet all the brands they stock to ensure they combine fair working conditions and sustainable, high quality materials to make beautiful products that last.
Brands include People Tree, Ninety Percent, Pink City Prints, Lowie, Seventy + Mochi and Re/DRESS. 69b Boutique sells both womenswear and menswear, as well as a range of accessories.
Moreover, it was a finalist for the prestigious Drapers Sustainability Award 2022 and they are also a certified Living Wage Employer. They regularly appear on round-ups of the best sustainable fashion stores in London.
Lone Design Club
Billed as 'the antidote to fast‑fashion', Lone Design Club runs regular IRL pop‑ups featuring ethical, independent fashion and lifestyle brands. Perfect for proper forward-fashion lovers.
Lone Design Club sells exclusive and one of a kind items incomparable to that found on the high street. Most products are handmade or produced in the country of origin. If not, Lone Design Club is thorough in their factory selection processes. Lone Design Club is all about shopping consciously and knowing the story behind every purchase. There is always information about each of the brands - and their values - on display.
They also give back to the community through charitable donations and through inclusive hiring practices within their supply chains.

Their independent flagship store in Kings Cross offers 12,000-square-foot of well-edited homeware, beauty, fashion and accessory brands to keep the style-curious busy, plus Edie Rose florist on the ground floor.
Wolf & Badger has been recognised for its efforts towards sustainability, receiving various accolades such as the Drapers Sustainable Retailer of the Year and Best Ethical Retailer in the Marie Claire Sustainability Awards. They are B Corp certified, and are celebrated for their inventory of pieces created by small, independent designers (meaning smaller batch, less wasteful collections).
Ganni
GANNI is a clothing brand based out of Copenhagen with locations across Europe and North America. The brand sells bold and imaginative clothing, shoes, and accessories and has recently launched a free tailoring and repairs service in partnership with SOJO.
From bold leopard prints to cheerful smiley t-shirts and signature boots, GANNI’s clothing range mixes classic femininity with a cool, laid-back spirit and Scandinavian aesthetic.
This super trendy, responsible fashion brand is working to create more circularity in fashion. At least 90% of the production volume across their collections comes from responsible styles where at least 50% of the fabric composition is certified recycled, lower‑impact or organic. GANNI is a certified B Corporation with a focus on making strides towards becoming more responsible and a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2027.
They state: "We don't identify as a sustainable brand, because at its core fashion thrives on newness and consumption, which is a major contradiction to the concept of sustainability. That’s the honest truth. Instead, we're focused on becoming the most responsible version of ourselves. We’re not perfect but committed to making better choices every day, minimising our social and environmental impact across the entire business:"
