In Good Company has paused
The past year has been a difficult one for many, and like so many others, we’ve felt that shift. For In Good Company, this has led to the difficult decision to pause the platform, as continuing to run the website and app is no longer sustainable.

A note from Alex & Sarah
In Good Company was created to make it easier for people to discover and support ethical, independent businesses across London. What began with a few big questions - about how good businesses could be easier to find, and better supported - grew into a platform that listed over 750 businesses and connected thousands of people with values-led shops, cafés, salons, restaurants, markets and more.
Along the way, we became a community of caring consumers, councils and partners, collaborators and interns, and so many inspiring small business owners - all connected by a belief that values and great experiences can go hand in hand.
We’re incredibly proud of what we built, and deeply grateful to everyone who was part of it.
The wider context has become increasingly challenging for impact-led platforms. Small businesses are under strain, consumers are stretched, and attention is scarce. In that context, and despite our best efforts, continuing to run the platform in its current form is no longer possible.
As we pause the platform and think about what’s next, one thing matters more than ever: please keep supporting ethical and independent businesses. Choosing local, values-led businesses genuinely makes a difference. These businesses do vital work in their communities, often quietly and against the odds, and are instrumental in shaping a fairer, kinder and more sustainable world.
Our commitment to the values behind In Good Company remains strong - and so does our hope.
We still believe ethical living should feel easy, joyful and human.
We still believe small acts can create meaningful change.
We still believe good business is the future.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
